Belichicks Take the Title in Spite of 6th Place Finish



The Young Guns & River Rats tied for the best regular season record.  The Belichicks, who finished 6th in the regular season, moved up to take the title in their second year in existence.  The River Rats & Young Guns tied for 2nd; the Cactus Scouts finished fourth.

Post Season:  In week #1, the #4 Water Dogs knocked off the #7 Clubbers; the Scouts & Casuals, on the other hand, were pushed by the dRays & Belichicks to another week.  The Scouts easily knocked off the dRays, but the Chicks beat the Casuals to enter the Final Five fray.


In the Finals, the Chicks (4-0) got off to a fast start, besting the Rats (3-1) and Scouts (2-2).  In week #2, the Guns (4-0, 5-3) blew away the rest of the field, tying the Scouts (3-1, 5-3) going into the final week.  In a low scoring week, the Belichicks (4-0) nipped the Rats, whose win over the Young Guns kept the Guns from forcing an extra playoff week.
